The flat terrain of the valley of Aguere zeroed the advantage of the natives that on 14 and 15 November 1494 suffered a heavy defeat here. The next month was held the second battle of Acentejo, this time with a favorable outcome for the Crown of Castile. The conquest of the island was over.
